Opportunities for Membership Participation
SVSU-OLLI values the participation of its members.  Check out those activities in which you might like to be involved and contact the committee chair who will be able to answer your questions and discuss the opportunity.

Curriculum Committee

Generally meets twice prior to each semester (about eight times a year). Identifies potential class leaders and coordinates development of classes. It is expected that each committee member develop at least one class per semester.  Also offers input to the director on curriculum issues.

Sub Committee
The Curriculum Committee is expanding its scope by establishing sub-committees which will focus on developing
new classes in specific content areas.  To date, these sub-committees have been formed with these leaders:

If you have an special interest in one of the above content areas and would like to help find new course
leaders in that area, contact the sub-committee leader(s) listed above.  It is anticipated that each
committee will meet a every few months to discuss class ideas and leaders.  Members will also reach
out to SVSU faculty and others in the community to encourage their participation in our OLLI program.

Membership Committee

Meets four times per year as a committee. Responsible for meeting and greeting members at monthly meetings and special events.  Calls new members and welcomes them to OLLI.

Travel Committee

Generally meets twice prior to each semester (about eight times per year).  Identifies potential day and multiday trips. Each committee member should take the lead on developing at least one trip per year with the assistance from the OLLI director.
