"Move Into Life" One Day Movement Workshop with Anat Baniel
Co-Sponsored by OLLI Saturday, June 13, 2009
Members of the San Francisco Medicine Ball Band entertain about 130 OLLI members and guests at a dinner dance in October, 2008.
About 100 OLLI members and guests attended an OLLI tailgate prior to the first SVSU home football game of the 2008 season.
Everyone had so much fun last year we decided to offer another fall road rally. This is a driving tour in the surrounding country side on public roads where a carload of people compete in a contest to score points to win prizes. It is not a timed race. The object is twofold: first to have fun and enjoy a drive in the country, and second, to score points in order to be eligible to win prizes after the rally. The day begins at SVSU with a light breakfast and discussion of the rules and routes. This year you will be driving west through six counties and visiting such booming towns as Riverdale, St. Louis and Alma. The day ends with a group dinner and awarding of prizes. At least two people are needed per vehicle, a driver and a navigator, although additional passengers are helpful. All participants in a vehicle are a “team.” You may come to the event with an established team, or we can pair you with others in the morning.
The event is being coordinated by OLLI member Matt Skowronski. The price includes a light breakfast, buffet dinner (cash bar) and prizes. Lunch is on your own and restaurant options will be provided. Date: Saturday, October 9 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Price: $34 Members; $54 Non-Members Room: Seminar F & G (Curtiss Hall)
