Great Decisions Discussion Group  (353-355)

Here’s your chance for lively discussion about topics in the news. This facilitated discussion group will take you beyond the headlines by providing a look at eight of the most significant and far-reaching challenges facing the world.  By participating in this class, you will be joining hundreds of thousands of Americans who each year use the Great Decisions materials to promote discussion. Each class begins with a short video about the topic and then OLLI member Barb Mitchell will facilitate discussion and debate on that week’s topic. 2010 topics, in order of discussion, include: special envoys; Kenya and R2P; global crime; U.S.-China security issues; global financial crisis; Russia and its neighbors; the Persian Gulf; and peace building and conflict resolution. You may sign up for either session, or both. The class price includes the briefing book.
