Beginning Pastel Drawing and Painting (119)
Pastel combines the convenience of a dry medium with the brilliant color of paint, making it a favorite of beginners and experts alike.  Pastels are an option with which painterly effects can be achieved while retaining the immediacy of drawing, and there is no waiting for pastels to dry.  Colors are mixed on the paper, not on a palette, by overlaying or blending them. In this class, you’ll learn basic techniques for drawing with pastels. The class will be led by Rosemary Hayes, professional artist and art instructor with a B.F.A. from the
University of Michigan.  You will receive a list of materials to bring to the first class. The class is limited to 12.
