In this class, you will learn how to use Photoshop Elements 7 from a photographer’s perspective, and receive an overview on Adobe Lightroom. The differences between Photoshop Elements 7 and Photoshop CS4 will also be covered. Other topics will include Raw Processing, levels, histogram usage, white balance correction, white and black points, saturation, dodge and burn, clone, selection methods, plug-ins, sharpening methods, layers, and blending modes. Printing methodologies, file storage, and fixing common flaws will also be discussed. Bring your laptop to class, if you have one. (Photoshop Elements 7 can be downloaded for a 30 day free trail.) A general knowledge of PC function is a must for this class. The class will be taught by Lynn Dumbrille, retired from GM/EDS and currently the co-chair for the Midland Macintosh User Group - Digital Imaging Special Interest Group. The class limit is 15.
