| (015) Native American Customs and Culture: A Day-Trip to Ziibiwing Center. The Ziibiwing Center in Mt. Pleasant was created in 2004 to enlighten and educate all communities in the rich culture, heritage and history of the Anishinabek people of the Great Lakes. In 2006 OLLI offered a very successful trip to the center and we are pleased to return. Lectures will include tribal history and boarding schools; “Pow-Wow” dancing traditions and styles; dream catchers; cultures and life ways; spirituality; treaty rights and effects of colonization.
