This eight hour course will introduce you to the fascinating world of chemistry. It will cover scientific measurements and units, atoms, elements, chemical reactions, air, water, metals and organic chemicals. It will be a laboratory course where we will do simple experiments to illustrate the scientific principles. The course will involve simple gas law and chemical calculations that will require a calculator. The course will be led by retired chemical engineer John Johnson. A $30 materials fee is included in the course price. Four Thursdays: January 22, 29, Feb 5 & 12 from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.Price: $60 Members; $120 Non-Members |
