| (331) Where Have All the Jobs Gone?As domestic auto sales drop, many plants continue to reduce their workforce. On the other hand, jobs in the health care sector are plentiful. This class will examine employment theory and practice, a timely topic for residents of Michigan given our current economic climate. We will consider how an employer determines when to hire and when workforce reductions are necessary. How wages and benefi ts are determined will also be examined. The course will be led by OLLI member Jim Lee, a retired high school economicsteacher. Three Wednesdays: Jan 21, 28 & Feb 4 from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Price: $20 Members; $40 Non-Members |
