Member Supported Endowment Print E-mail
As you consider year-end giving, we hope that you will remember the SVSU Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. This fund was formed to support innovative programs which distinguish our OLLI from others, and add to the value of your membership. We envision bringing in high-profile speakers or supporting an SVSU student program. We would also like to purchase equipment to enhance the environment of our classroom. This might include a  “smart” podium, more comfortable chairs, and an audio amplification.  And in the long-run, an ultimate goal is to have our own building on the campus of SVSU!

This initiative began with Ron Taylor, an OLLI member since 2003, and a member of our Advisory Board. Ron recently made a contribution of $1,000 to establish this fund, and because he is a Dow Chemical retiree, his gift was matched by Dow.  Now, interest from these contributions and future gifts will be used to support new programs and capital expenditures.  The use will be directed by the OLLI Finance Committee which is currently chaired by Wil Hufton.
